Program Description
Melt into the healing balm of nature as you delve into your inner world. Ignite the spark of your creativity, rouse a wellspring of fresh energy, abundance and joy. Join us for a transformational experience of spirit, art, and nature with internationally renowned artist, Dana Lynne Andersen.
Daily, guided yoga and meditation bring us back to the nourishing peace at our center. A journey of creative exploration takes us deep in the life of the soul, restoring connection to what has heart and meaning in our lives and bringing our purpose into focus. We discover a miraculous synergy between what the world needs and what we are here to give. A unique combination of deep relaxation and adventure, play and inner work, combined with a profound sense of support and community make this a retreat that will alter the course of your life.
Dana Lynne Andersen is the director of the Academy of Art, Creativity & Consciousness in 
Italy and the founder of Awakening Arts, an international network of artists committed to the creation of art that is inspiring and transformative. Dana has helped hundreds to connect deeply with the inner life and to unleash the vibrant creativity that springs from the Soul. She is known as a loving and inspiring teacher with a unique ability to midwife the soul’s journey, elucidating the nascent energies and visions that actuate our true callings.

Self-Designed Retreat
You can design your
own retreat / vacation. For all our programs, we encourage guests to participate in the daily life of the community to whatever extent they feel inspired. We have ongoing meditation, yoga, kirtans, service projects, social events and recreational outings that you can participate in, depending on your interest. Many visitors find a deeply rejuvenating vacation through a balance of sight seeing and spiritual practice, service and relaxation.
We are situated on 20 beautiful acres about a 30 minute drive south of Hilo (on the Big Island) and a ten minute drive to the water. Accommodations include everything from tent 
camping, to single and double occupancy rooms, to private apartments. You will have full access to the spacious common room and kitchen, yoga temple, spiritual library, beautiful grounds, orchard and large garden. Our daily diet includes the many fresh vegetables and fruits grown organically here at Polestar Gardens.

There are many wonderful adventures, parks and beaches to explore on the Big Island: waterfalls, steam vents, lava hikes, black sand beaches, and more.
Volcano National Park, the most visited park in all the islands, is less than an hour away. Nearby Pahoa Town has several excellent restaurants, shopping, library and a great, free public swimming pool. Hilo is half an hour's drive and the second most populated city in Hawaii. It has many museums, parks, beaches and a lovely downtown with shops and a vibrant farmers market. And there are lots of other amazing adventures here on the Big Island.
