Join our Polestar Ohana
Our Polestar Ohana is our extended family of community members, neighbors,
and friends who want to support Polestar’s ongoing expansion and long term prosperity. As part of our Ohana (Hawaiian for “family”), you are helping to create a vibrant intentional community based upon the universal teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda. This community touches the lives of each soul who walks through our doors. Through donations such as yours, we are assisting others in many ways and creating an environment that allows each of us to deepen our connection with Spirit.
Polestar’s dedication to Community Service includes ongoing youth and
apprenticeship programs that inspire young adults to channel their creative energy and reach for their highest potential. Organic gardening, construction, music, vegetarian cooking, sports, yoga, dance and physical fitness are just some of the practical life skills we teach. More importantly, the mentoring opportunities available in community life: to model respect, self control, concentration and compassion, are at the heart of our service to others.
Polestar’s ongoing classes in yoga and meditation are a source of inspiration to many of our extended community. Our schedule includes daily sadhana (spiritual practice), weekly kirtan and potluck, and monthly service projects, all open to public participation.
We also provide fresh organic produce through a Community Supported Agriculture program
and donate a portion of the harvest to the local food bank to support those in need. Our service projects extend to other local non-profits, where we offer our expertise in building and create dynamic work days for many diverse projects. Through these activities, we are slowly building a wonderful network of educators and service oriented community members. Your contributions will support all of this.
When you become a part of our Ohana, you'll receive newsletters and information about current events at Polestar and updates on our unfolding story: the creation of an intentional spiritual community on the Big Island of Hawaii. You'll be invited to Polestar events and activities, receive discounts on community guest housing and CSA membership, and the opportunity to participate much more dynamically in the life of our community. As a Polestar Ohana Member, your contributions will support all of our ongoing activities and allow us to expand our offerings to include many new creative projects.

Subscription Details
Subscriptions are processed through your PayPal account for automatic monthly or yearly payments. If you don't have a PayPal account PayPal will prompt you to create one during the subscription transaction. If you would like to contribute without using PayPal please contact us.
If you would like to increase your subscription amount, and it has been less than 6 months since the beginning of your subscription, you will need to unsubscribe using our unsubscribe page (or using your PayPal account) and then re-subscribe at the new level. If it has been more than 6 months since the beginning of your subscription you can simply subscribe at the new level and PayPal will prompt you to change your subscription to the new level.
If you would like to decrease your subscription amount your may do so by simply subscribing at a lower level (PayPal will ask if you want to change your existing subscription).
You may cancel your subscription at any time by either going to our unsubscribe page or via your PayPal account.
