Completion of “Phase One!”

Aloha from the Big Island to all of our family and friends:
It has been a blessed time here and we are brimming with gratitude for all the amazing participation and support we have experienced from so many of you this past year.
After many months and years of creative effort, we are nearing the completion of phase one of our new common house and community at Polestar Gardens. This will be an excellent campus we feel, to more fully express our values of Spirit, Community, and Lifelong Learning. We have two very important events coming up soon and very much want to invite you to join us for either or both of them.
First of all, our fall Builders Week starts Monday November 26th and runs through Saturday, Dec. 1st. Our first Builders Week in the spring was ambitious to say the least, but we accomplished our goal of framing our 6000 sq common house in just 6 days. Our goals for fall Builders Week however, are admittedly bordering on the ridiculous. Can we finish the house (tile work, plumbing, electrical, painting, doors hardware trim etc.) install the solar system, complete phase one of our orchard plan, finish the mowing, prep the new temple site, and grade the courtyard area; all in just 6 days? Possibly not but we will again give it our best shot! If you are interested in helping, please give us a call soon and we have plenty to do for all skill levels. (For those of you with building skills we are especially willing to be creative to find a way for you to join us.) If all goes well, this effort will pave the way for the Big Move just before the holidays.
Secondly, Saturday, Jan. 5th will be the dedication of our new home and community! As many of you know, this is the birthday of Paramhansa Yogananda whose inspiration has been the guiding light of our entire endeavor. Yogananda encouraged the creation of communities such as ours that would promote the spiritual ideals of simple living and high thinking and we consider this a very auspicious time for our dedication. More details on this later but please mark your calendars now!
There are many other new developments at Polestar right now and you will be hearing of many of them in the coming months. We send each of you are love and blessings and hope to connect again soon.
